fish with shiners, corn, marshmallows or any other rediculous bait for contamination reasons.
and how does a bait qualify to be considered ridiculous
Please point me in the direction of some reports saying, corn and marshmallows contaminate our waters.I have read numerous reports/studies on fishing with corn and none mention it can contaminate a body of water. To the contrary of your statement corn is ofton used in large quantities as chum for carp and fluke .
Seeing you like opening day maybe you should see about getting a closed season on bass so all the bass anglers can help us generate funding for the DEP.If one opening day is good ,imagine how good two opening days would be for the economy.Besides bass fisherman seem to be the big spenders when it comes to fresh water fishing.
The trout program needs to be masnged less as a money maker and more for the good of the fishery.Again CT has the potential to create a world class trout fishery with some changes.
