I'm moving to VT for five main reasons:

1) Congestion-the driving in CT is insane and getting exponentially worse every year. Rt. 91 is a freaking race course!
2) The people-The majority of the people are getting to be complete a-holes, due IMO to #1 above. It's every man for themselves these days.
3) Crime-as talked to above, the bad people are overpowering the good people and the authorities have no power to stop it anymore.
4) Financial-the state is in a horrible position and I'm fed up with taxes going up for services I don't even use.
5) The State of VT actually VALUES it's fish, game and environment. They support it, fund it, and promote it.

When I come back to CT from VT it's like a huge culture shock. In VT everybody drives close to the speed limit (50 mph unless otherwise posted) and they actually are very polite drivers (and people). When I'm driving down RT. 91 it's amazing how the average speed goes from 68-70 in VT to 75-85 in CT with people cutting you off at every possible chance. I can't take it anymore.

If I could afford to leave today, I would, and I'd never look back.

I work to live, not live to work.
